The Southside Melbourne Flyers are proud to welcome back Imogen Rock to their squad as a Development Player for the 2025/26 WNBL season, a testament to her continued potential in the WNBL.

Her return to the Flyers marks a critical step in the club’s development framework, emphasising their commitment to nurturing emerging talent within an elite environment.

As a development player, Rock will train alongside the main squad, continue to sharpen her skills under WNBL-level coaching, and stay ready to contribute to the team as she did in 2024, when her presence energised the team’s rotation.

Heading into her second year as a development player with the Flyers, Imogen expressed her excitement and confidence:

“I am feeling really excited and more confident heading into my second season.

With a year of experience under my belt, I have a better understanding of what’s expected at this level and I am eager to build on what I learnt last season.”

Recognising Imogen’s potential, Head Coach KrisTI Harrower commented on what makes Imogen such an exciting prospect:

“Imogen is an exciting young player and we witnessed her ongoing improvement last season when she played her first WNBL games.

Her ongoing development is a credit to her work ethic and we are excited by what another season in our program will bring to her game.”

Having already made appearances in the WNBL last season, Rock has gained invaluable experience at the highest level of Australian women’s basketball and will be a player to keep an eye on this season as she further develops at the Flyers.
