After five seasons with the Flyers, Maddy Rocci has informed the club she wants a new start in her WNBL career and has decided to walk away from the Flyers.
A member of the Flyers 2024 WNBL Championship team where she was paired with Leilani Mitchell in the Flyers backcourt, Rocci has won the Flyers MVP and has also been a co-captain of the team during her five seasons since joining the Flyers for the 2021/22 season from Canberra, where she was a dual WNBL Champion.
Wearing her heart on her sleeve and leaving everything on the court made Rocci a crowd favourite with Flyers’ fans. While disappointed with her decision not to continue with the Flyers and be part of the exciting new era under new coach Sam Mackinnon, we say thank you Maddy and wish you the very best for the future.
